Industrie Bitossi produces technical ceramic components for armor applications. Our products are available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes to meet the unique requirements of each project and they can be tailored to customer specifications for use in personal and vehicle protection systems.

Vehicle protection


Industrie Bitossi produces a wide range of ceramic tiles for automotive applications, from small 20 mm hexagonal plates up to 200x200 mm plates in a range of thicknesses from 3 to 100 mm. Most of our ceramic components are designed specifically for the needs of each armor integrator and are available in alumina and sintered SiC.

Industrie Bitossi combines a high level of flexibility with a unique production capacity that allows us to take on the most challenging projects.

Personal protection


Industrie Bitossi designs and produces ceramic armour components in a wide range of shapes and sizes. All protective plates are uniquely tailored for each project in terms of size, curvature, shape, thickness and composition. Rapid prototyping is available to reduce research and development time, supporting the development of armour systems.

The 2.5mm-thick alumina plates are the lightest solution available for an ultra-light NIJ RF2 protection level.

The 7.5mm-thick alumina plates made of 997 are the cutting-edge solution for RF3 protection level.

Alumina 98, with a thickness of 9-10 mm, is the standard solution against AP threats.

The sintered SiC body is the choice for the most demanding requirements.
