In the early '60s, Industrie Bitossi recognized that the modern ceramic industry was emerging, and the available technologies were unable to meet the growing demand, both in terms of quality and quantity

Industrie Bitossi undertook to develop a better type of grinding media aimed to increase the productivity and the reliability of grinding operations.

Industrie Bitossi is founded. Production of micronized zirconium silicate and zircon flours is started.

For the first time Industrie Bitossi invests outside Italy, setting up a new zircon flour production facility in Turkey.

In Brazil, Industrie Bitossi starts a new production plant of micronized zirconium silicate to meet the numerous demands of the South American market.
